The SafAle™ BE-134 is a Saccharomyces cerevisiae var. diastaticus and is characterized by a particularly high attenuation.
This typical yeast strain is recommended for Belgian Saison-style beers. It gives fruity aromas with a slight spicy character (POF+) such as clove notes. This strain will bring highly refreshing and drinkable beers.
Fermentation: ideally 18-28°C (64.4-82.4°F)
Shelf Life
Refer to best before end date printed on the sachet.
Opened sachets must be sealed and stored at 4°C (39°F) and used within 7 days of opening.
Do not use soft or damaged sachets.
To ensure a healthy fermentation it is a good idea to incorporate some yeast nutrient in your brewing. You can purchase some here.
The benefits of using yeast nutrient are described in the pdf and video below:

"I recently used Fermentis BE 134 yeast to make a Saison style Witbier. I was pleased with the amazing attenuation of this yeast. The image shows the hydrometer reading at day 11 with a temperature of 22 C. This yeast gives a very similar result to the Lallemand Belle Saison which I have previously used for this style of ale."
"Offering fruity aromas and spicy character such as clove notes."
"Excellent dry yeast for saison. Have brewed a few batches and it tastes great. Must buy"
