This particular kit is a one-click option for those who want to be able to brew a single batch under pressure with a 27L Tri-Conical FermZilla. Designed as a single batch system that goes perfectly hand in hand with the BrewZilla 35L Gen3.1.1 or Gen4 if you are looking to Brew All Grain or Partial Mash beers.

This is a very good starting point for those who are just getting into pressurisable fermenters and want to know what we would recommend to use with them. Pressure fermentation opens up a world of possibilities for the homebrewer wanting to take their beers to the next level. If you are kegging then the ability to do a closed pressure transfer straight into a keg is worth the cost of entry!

We have a great breakdown about the benefits of pressure fermentation here, and a guide to closed transfer here

If you don't have any spare disconnects or tubing lying around you might want to grab a Big Jumper transfer line kit. This kit has carbonation caps on the collection container either to purge or take samples of yeast from.

This kit has carbonation caps on the collection container either to purge or take samples of yeast from.

We would also still recommend getting a CO2 Gas to be able to transfer to a keg/bottle/can or dispense directly out of the unit. As these units were designed to be fermenting and pressure transfer vessels for your delicious cargo.

What's new the difference between Gen2 and Gen3?
1. Moulded 3 inch TC ferrule in the body of the FermZilla tank
2. 3 inch Tri-Clover Butterfly Valve
3. 3 Inch Tri-Clover 600mL Collection Container
4. The latest models now come with an Easy-Grip Threaded Lid Ring that has a multitude of uses.

The new and improved FermZilla 27L brought to you by the critical key minds and engineers behind the original Gen1 and Gen2. But with all the tweaks that make it the most cost-effective conical fermenter to date!

The new FermZilla is a revolution in home brewing allowing home brewers and small micro-breweries a level of control that meets everyone's budget.  With the FermZilla you have many of the benefits of a much more expensive stainless conical fermenter but with the additional benefit of being able to see the fermentation process in action and also ferment at pressures up to 2.4bar.
This is an incredible product at an extremely attractive price point in all the different sizes and models.

Please note:
When using this vessel under pressure. You must perform a water pressure check to ensure your connections are leak proof. To do this. Fill your FermZilla up with water, then apply a minimum of 15psi pressure to the vessel. Check for leaks around all Cap / Threads.

Please note:
When using this vessel under pressure. You must perform a water pressure check to ensure your connections are leak proof before you fill the fermenter every time. To do this. Fill your FermZilla up with some water, then apply a minimum of 15psi pressure to the vessel. Check for leaks around all Cap / Threads by tipping it upside down, in all directions where there are risks of leakage.

Occasionally these units may come with some small indentations/dimples/dents from shipping, this is just a reality of shipping large blow-moulded thin-walled vessels. But don't panic, these fermenters are designed to endure minor deformations such as this. This was a necessary implementation into the design so that they can withstand some accidental suction from cold crashing and rough handling in transit without compromising their integrity and ability to endure high pressures. All small dents will push out and settle with use and positive pressure and are only an issue and warrant replacement in the rare event they start to show white stress patterns or have damaged the plastic.

Game changer!

"It has been a long journey to move from the old tub to this outstanding product, but I don't regret it at all. There is a heap to understand about pressure fermenting, but the videos on the product site were a great guide. I love the ability to dry hop without opening the fermentor. Before purchasing, you need to think through all the extra products you'll need (e. g. connectors for collection chamber to purge oxygen, heat shield, etc). I also did my first batch with a new Pill which doubled the number of new things. Nevertheless, the first brew bubbled away nicely and inital tasting before kegging gave extremely promising results. Such an unbelievably cheap upgrade to the joy of brewing!"

27 Litre Triconical fermenter

"A great fermenter which can produce a cleaner beer due to the container at the bottom. Pressure fermenting produces a nice lager in quick time. I have also added a "hop bong" on the top of the fermenter. Great little system for creating fast, tasty, clean beer."

Triconical 27l Fermzilla Fermentation

"I bought this 27 litre Fermzilla beer fermenter because I was impressed with the large opening top and bottom and the way it uses 3” clamps to hold everything together. I also bought the Hop Bong, but didn’t need it for the first brew nor the second brew, pictured. It’s a quality product and does the job without fuss. I recommend it as well as the Kegland Fermentation Chamber. Program and forget."

Good fermenter

"Good fermenter allowing to ferment under pressure and transfer oxygen free. I have two of them and they do a perfect job."

New Fermzilla

"Great piece of kit, easy to use. Really loving the new handles, so much easier to open. I look forward to making lots of good brews in it."

No more struggles

"Been using the original fermzilla for years. Didn't suffer as much as some did, so held off on the upgrade for a few years. Cannot believe how much easier the tri-conical is. Stop struggling with the original and take the plunge. It's a game changer!"
