This magnetic drive pump is the ideal pump for your brewing system needs. Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 120C it can handle the boil directly without the need to cool before use. Extremely efficient 1.1amp pump which can be run continuously at elevated temperatures.
We would still recommend putting a valve on the outlet of the pump to throttle the speed.

A butterfly valve or ball valve is recommended on the outlet side to reduce the flow if you're using this for brewing purposes and don't want it to go full bore. Putting pressure from restrictive flow will not hurt a magnetically driven pump, it is precisely what this baby is used for.
It is not self-priming, so it will need to be lower than the vessel primed with liquid before it can push it around. It is not submersible!

"This is a very practical pump design with the TC removable head. Set it up to whirlpool and to pump out the wort to the Fermenter and it is very good. I am concerned though that the ORing that seals the TC head does not seem to be listed on the KL website. This worries me if that ORing breaks or is lost then the pump may be rendered useless. I would like to have one in my kit for a spare"
