Blue Lake Milling Rolled/Flaked Barley are traditionally dehulled grains, that have been steamed and rolled flat under heavy rollers. This process creates a product, which is both great on the palate and also provides beers with added head retention and foam stability.
This grain does not need to be milled and can be added directly in the mash. Most widely used in dry Irish Stouts, it can be used in a wide variety of styles to add complexity to beers.
