Rice hulls act like little spacers in your mash tun to aid in liquid moving freely through. This aids in preventing stuck mashes and aiding in sparging efficiency.
If you're using a high amount of Wheat, Rye, Spelt, Barley, Quinoa or any other grain without husk like Barley, we highly recommend adding some Rice Hulls to your grain order.

"Early days but looks good. I added 2 handfuls and sparging went very well"
"No complain. Helps with mash"
"Trying these out to help with my mash and avoid it getting stuck. My 1st time using and seem to really help filter wort through the grain basket. Recirculation appears more efficient. I use 2 handfuls. My brewzilla pump clogged up and caused me headaches, but most likely user error as I removed the heat exchanger dish for that brew. Not a good idea! :-)"
