Replacement, retrofittable Heating Element for KL15813 RAPT - Fermentation Chamber

In the unlikely event that the built in heating element fails, this replaceable heating element can be installed with no wiring required in just a couple of minutes.

Replacement instructions

To install the replacement element, first unplug the RAPT Fermentation Chamber.

Unscrew the screws holding the fan shroud in place. Remove the fan shroud - the fan can be unplugged to make access easier.

Gently bend the rear cold plate away from the body of the RAPT Fermentation Chamber to access behind the cold plate.

Remove the white protective backing from the Replacement Heating Element. This side is adhesive. Carefully position the Replacement Heating Element behind the cold plate, with the adhesive side next to the cold plate - this will hold the Replacement Heating Element in place.

Once the Replacement Heating Element is positioned and stuck to the rear of the cold plate, locate the plug for the old heating element. Unplug the old element and plug in the new element.

Replace the fan shroud - remember to plug the fan back in if unplugged.

You are now good to go!
