Ginger Beer first brew
"So I decided to get back into brewing after a 25 year hiatus, I thought I'd try making some hard gigerbeer following the Mad Millie kit recipe. However my original brewing kit was long gone in one of our garage sales during our move. I decided to check out KegLand, and I found the perfect starter kit to get back into home brewing. I purchased the KegLand FermZilla Home Brew Starter Kit - with Swing-Top Glass Bottles Basic Pack. I mixed up my brew recipe and added it to the Firmzilla. Because it's winter I decided to get a low temperature yeast. The quantity I started brewing is only 12 litres as I only have 24 500ml glass swing top bottles which I got with the kit. The bottles are a separate addition which you must add to the kit at an extra cost. I am very happy with the quality of the Firmzilla flat bottom fermenter. The other products that came with the kit are an excellent addition to get you started as a beginner. I chose the glass bottles because I wasn't sure if the P.E.T bottles affect the tast of the brew. I don't have a heater belt or heating pad for my fermenter but I plan to get one eventually. At the moment I am using bubble wrap and a blanket to keep my brew warm. I highly recomend KegLand for all your brewing supplies. Their prices are extremely reasonable and the staff were very helpful. If anyone has some advice for me from the KegLand staff I welcome any feedback."
