A classic light coloured, hoppy flavouredΒ Pale Ale with addition of NZ Green Bullet and Pacific Gem hops at the boil provides a moderate bitterness to this beer.
Brew with Black Rock Light Unhopped Malt Extract, or combine 2 cans of Pale Ale for a more powerful hop aroma and bitterness.
Try brewing this recipe with a specialty US ale yeast like Lalbrew BRY-97 American West Coast Ale Yeast orΒ Safale US-05.
Dry yeast sachet located under the cap and detailed brewing instructions are provided on the back of the tin.Β

"Add some LDME and you've got yourself a winner"
"Made this with a Kg of Dextrose and a Black Rock Unhopped Light Malt Extract can 1.7kg. I may have used 200g of maltodextrin for head retention, i can't recall. I'm not a beer expert but the mouth feel is great, not light, not thick...maybe somewhere in the middle. Extremely drinkable, not a hint of kit twang that i can detect which has put me off other cheaper kits in the past. Taste is excellent. Stuck to the recipe otherwise as in, no other hops added. This just beats commercial beer hands down in my opinion. A simple quick way to fill a keg or not, when you don't have time to do all grain. I'm just pouring straight from from the all-rounder pressure vessel at present. Would i buy this again? Absolutely without hesitation."
