The Black Rock Classic XPA is a light-coloured ale. It's not as heavy, biscuity, and bitter as its big brother the Classic IPA, and is much more sessionable, clean, and crisp.

For even better results, combine with a can of KL35453 -  Black Rock Unhopped Light Malt Extract (1.7kg), substitute the yeast out for a sachet of KL12751 - LalBrew Premium Series - BRY-97 Yeast (American West Coast Ale) and add 50-220g of your favourite aromatic hop variety.

Dry yeast sachet located under the cap and detailed brewing instructions are provided on the back of the tin.

Costly, time-consuming all grain processes are not necessary to create quality craft wort at home. Discerning home brewers are always looking to improve their brewing techniques and beer quality. With this in mind, the master brewers at Black Rock have expertly brewed the highest quality fresh wort in a state-of-the-art Krones brewery, using only the finest fresh NZ malt before gently evaporating to 80 brix for your convenience.

Nice balance on this XPA

"I've tried six or more different Black Rock extract kits so far. All have been very drinkable but the XPA is the best so far. Really nice balance with good hop finish."

Black Rock Pale

"1st Time using this one from Black Rock and smelt great when puring in. The labels don't fall to pieces when you heat up the tins which I feel is great and teh liquid pured easily. Looking forward to trying this brew in the coming weeks."
