Dehydrated Bitter Orange Peel Pieces - 100g

Dehydrated Bitter Orange (Seville Orange) Peel Pieces are commonly added as a botanical in gin production as it is rich in essential oils that impart a pleasant citrus flavour and aroma into the spirit.

Generally bitter orange peel is added during gin distillation rather than sweet orange peel due to bitter orange peel having a much higher concentration of essential oils.

Usage Directions:
Distillation: macerate in the wash or add to a gin basket for vapour infusion.
Beer: Add 12-24 grams per 20L in the last 15 minutes of the boil.
