Rice hulls act like little spacers in your mash tun to aid in liquid moving freely through. This aids in preventing stuck mashes and aiding in sparging efficiency.
If you're using a high amount of Wheat, Rye, Spelt, Barley, Quinoa or any other grain without husk like Barley, we highly recommend adding some Rice Hulls to your grain order.

Reviews

wonderful rice hulls

"I have not used any of large bag yet but, used previous smaller batches from kegland. With 80 L bag, won,t have worry about running out for a long time. Rice hulls are a mashing saviour to prevent stuck mashes and improve recirculating wort flow. When using torrefied wheat or oats, necessary. Name one brewer that likes a stuck mash or sparge. Much better value per kg in sack ( as you call it ) cheers, Andy"
