This sanitary diaphragm pressure gauge features a 1.5-inch Tri-Clamp (Tri-Clover compatible) connection and a 0–2 bar (0–30 PSI) pressure range. Its rear-mount design makes it suitable for stainless steel fermenters, bright beer tanks, brewing vessels, and other brewery equipment.
Unlike conventional pressure gauges, which allow gas to enter an internal capillary tube, this hygienic gauge uses a stainless steel diaphragm to separate the tank contents from the gauge mechanism. Traditional capillary tubes are difficult to clean and can become blocked by residue, potentially causing inaccurate or dangerously low pressure readings. They may also contain softer metals, such as brass or copper, which can be damaged by common brewery cleaning chemicals.
The stainless steel diaphragm provides a more sanitary barrier while improving the gauge’s durability, reliability, and service life. It helps prevent product buildup and protects the internal mechanism from contact with liquids, gases, and cleaning agents.
The gauge is also glycerine-filled, helping to reduce needle vibration and protect against pulsation, shock, and wear. This provides stable, easy-to-read pressure measurements in demanding brewing environments.
