Ideal Lager yeast to enhance hop thiol release

Fermentis SafLager SH-45 is a carefully selected lager yeast that is ideal for expressing some of the aromatic compounds in hops. 

Sensory Profile

This strain possesses the capability to release and esterify thiols (biotransformation). As a result, beers crafted with SafLager SH-45 may present enhanced levels of fruitiness and intensified citrus and tropical notes.

Suitable Beer Styles

Cold IPA, India Pale Lager (IPL), New Zealand Pilsners and American Lagers.

Shelf Life

Opened sachets must be sealed and stored at 4°C (39°F) and used within 7 days of opening.
