duotight - 8mm (5/16') Female x 1/4' Male Thread Bulkhead (suits 60cm Thermowell)

Currently the Gen4 model of bulkhead, but it is also the Gen2 model of duotight. This unit features refined double O-ring design principles, providing an exceptionally reliable and leak-free push-fit connection for plastic tubing without requiring complex fittings.

Suitable for fixing thermowells to FermZilla lids or any sort of fermentation vessel. When cut and drilled correctly, it will hold pressure up to 30psi.

Installation Tips:
1. Drill a clean, deburred hole in your vessel lid or wall using an appropriate step drill bit.
2. Ensure all sealing O-rings are clean, properly seated, and lightly lubricated with food-grade lubricant before assembly.
3. Tighten the bulkhead nut firmly by hand or with proper tools, taking care not to overtighten and warp the vessel wall or pinch the seal.
4. Cut your tubing straight and square, then push it firmly into the duotight fitting until it bottoms out against the internal stop.

• 8mm Passthrough: Need your 8mm OD line to go through a thin solid surface? Drill a hole and use this.

This 8mm duotight fitting is optimised for use with EVABarrier Dual Barrier Line. It is compatible with:

We recommend using a Tube Cutter to ensure a perfectly straight, burr-free cut. An angled cut is the #1 cause of leaks in push-fit systems.
