duotight - 6.35mm (1/4'') x 1/4 inch Male (with oring)
KL39864
This compact and practical duotight to 1/4" BSP threaded component is exceptionally useful, particularly across a wide variety of the gas fittings in our product range. Specifically, the 1/4 inch thread seamlessly integrates directly into the main regulator body, the various manifolds available in our lineup, and numerous other compatible hardware items that routinely utilise a standard 1/4 inch thread interface.
Applications & Compatibility
-
Regulators: Can fit into the body of our MK4 and MK5 regulators.
- Manifolds: Can also replace the barbs on our gas line manifolds.
-
Plumbing: Fits on any standard 1/4" BSP fitting.
6.35mm Tubing Compatibility
This 6.35mm duotight fitting is optimised for use with EVABarrier Dual Barrier Line. It is compatible with:
- KL25331 : 3mm ID x 6.35mm OD | 12m
- KL42758 : 3mm ID x 6.35mm OD | 12m (Red)
- KL42789: 3mm ID x 6.35mm OD | 12m (Black Lightshield)
- KL42758 : 3mm ID x 6.35mm OD | 12m (PE Water Line)
The duotight Generation 2 Difference
Why settle for standard push-in fittings? duotight Generation 2 represents a massive leap in engineering over traditional acetal fittings.
Dual-Material Double O-Ring Design
The secret to our superior seal is a two-stage system using two different high-quality materials:
- EPDM O-Ring: Provides exceptional chemical and gas resistance.
- Silicone O-Ring: Maintains its shape and elasticity in sub-zero temperatures.
High-Performance Materials (POK)
Instead of standard Acetal, Generation 2 fittings are made from Polyketone (POK).
- Higher Chemical Resistance: Withstands harsh brewery cleaners.
- UV Protection: Won't become brittle over time.
- Extreme Durability: Rated for over 300psi @ 25°C.
User-Friendly Features
- Color-Coded Collets: Green denotes 6.35mm (1/4").
- Depth Indicators: Includes >| |< indicators so you know the hose is fully seated.
- No Clamps Necessary: Simply push to seal; push the collet to release.
We recommend using a Tube Cutter to ensure a perfectly straight, burr-free cut. An angled cut is the #1 cause of leaks in push-fit systems.
