Hydrolyzed oat powder otherwise known as Oat Extract is a fine powder derived from Australian Oats. It has been converted using enzymatic hydrolysis to be fermentable extract that is rich in sugars, protein and oat flavour.
When used for extract or partial mash brewing it will attribute to haze formation, mouth feel and head retention. All of which are seen as desirables for the hoppier styles like NEIPA and Hazy Pales but it can also be used as a velvet addition to an Oatmeal or Milk Stout.

"I used the oat extract for a NEIPA that also had 250g of golden naked oats to steep for 30 min. I used 500g of the dried oat extract that that gave a hazy appearance and a more creamy mouthfeel. Very pleased with the end result."
