Barrett Burston Victorian Ale malted grain is a high quality Australian Ale malt used in many commercial and craft breweries. Barrett Burston Pale Ale malt offers an excellent flavour profil for all ales so maybe give it go in your next Australian Pale Ale.
Formerly known as just Ale Malt.
An Australian premium ale malt that is used in a wide range of commercial and craft breweries. Famously known in Victoria for the rich golden hue in Carlton Draught.
Can be used as a base malt up to 100% in most Ale styles.

"Barrett Burston ale malt is just like they describe, sweet, malty and slight biscuit flavour. Not grassy like pils malt. Can be used 100% as base malt. I used in an Aussie style pale ale with Melbn # 1 ale yeast wlp059 and 18 ibu of POR. The higher kilning gives the malt a great flavour and more colour at 5-7 ebc. This malt and wlp059 produce a great beer and crystal clear quite quickly. I will use this in more beers. Nothing wrong with grassiness in pilsner beers, just don't want it in everything. cheers, Andy Graham"
