These 5L barrels are hand made from American White Oak and flamed to a medium toast. Great for ageing beer, wine and spirits.
The barrels are not plastic/aluminium foil lined or use rubberised bladder like some that we have seen on the market.
Please ensure you crack the lid open slightly when dispensing, and always refill to the top after a tasting session.

Failure to follow these directions will void warranty.
These barrels are 100% American white oak with a medium toast inside and a raw un-varinshed outside. This means more care needs to be taken to keep these barrels in tip top shape. But ultimately you will have the best possible product as a result, and much more flexibility in maintaining a leak free barrel.

"This is genuinely the most beautiful thing I've purchased from Kegland. I've been unable to use it yet, and part of me doesn't want to "ruin" it by filling it up... but I've been saving this for a special aging experiment that I've wanted to do for quite some time and will get to in the next couple of weeks. I particularly like the little niceties. The tap is well placed, turns easily but with enough friction to avoid it being accidentally bumped open, and I really appreciate the screw in "bung" rather than leaving it to me and my ham fists to hammer something in. Most of all... it's just so pretty! 😍 5 liter is a nice size too. Fits on a bookshelf, so finding somewhere to keep it isn't going to be difficult. I will definitely be getting a few more of these."
