This is a very good starting point for those who are just getting into pressurisable fermenters and want to know what we would recommend to use with them.
We have a great breakdown about the benefits of pressure fermentation here, and a guide to closed transfer here.
If you don't have any spare disconnects or tubing lying around you might want to grab a Big Jumper transfer line kit. This kit has carbonation caps on the collection container either to purge or take samples of yeast from.
This kit has carbonation caps on the collection container either to purge or take samples of yeast from.
We would also still recommend getting a CO2 Gas to be able to transfer to a keg/bottle/can or dispense directly out of the unit. As these units were designed to be fermenting and pressure transfer vessels for your delicious cargo.

This particular kit is a one-click option for those who want to be able to brew under pressure with a 55L Conical FermZilla. Designed as a double batch system that goes perfectly hand in hand with the BrewZilla 65L if you are looking to Brew All Grain to Partial Mash beers.
This is a very good starting point for those who are just getting into pressurisable fermenters but also want to dabble in yeast harvesting and purged dry hopping. If you would prefer a more simplistic pressurisable fermenter in a similar size, we would very much recommend the 60L All Rounder FermZilla Pressure Brewing Kit. This unit does not have the added collection container / butterfly valve assembly at the bottom.
We would also still recommend getting a CO2 Gas to be able to transfer to a keg/bottle/can or dispense directly out of the unit. As these units were designed to be fermenting and pressure transfer vessels for your delicious cargo.

The new and improved FermZilla 55L brought to you by the critical key minds and engineers behind the original Gen1. But with all the tweaks that make it the most cost-effective conical fermenter to date!
The new FermZilla is a revolution in home brewing allowing home brewers and small micro-breweries a level of control that meets everyone's budget. With the FermZilla you have the many of the benefits of a much more expensive stainless conical fermenter but with the additional benefit of being able to see the fermentation process in action and also ferment at pressures up to 2.4bar.
This is an incredible product at an extremely attractive price point and available in FermZilla 27L and FermZilla 55L sizes.
Changes from Gen1:
1. Larger dump valve
2. Larger lid opening than Gen1 tanks
3. Pressure rating 2.4bar (35psi)
4. Designed to fit in the new WiFi ControlledRAPT Fermentation Chambers
Collection container lid is not pressure rated*
Please note:
When using this vessel under pressure. You must perform a water pressure check to ensure your connections are leak proof. To do this. Fill your FermZilla up with water, then apply a minimum of 15psi pressure to the vessel. Check for leaks around all Cap / Threads.
Occasionally these units may come with some small indentations/dimples/dents from shipping, this is just a reality of shipping large blow-moulded thin-walled vessels. But dont panic, these fermenters are designed to endure minor deformations such as this. This was a necessary implementation into the design so that they can withstand some accidental suction from cold crashing and rough handling in transit without compromising their integrity and ability to endure high pressures. All small dents will push out and settle with use and positive pressure and are only an issue and warrant replacement in the rare event they start to show white stress patterns or have damaged the plastic.

We sometimes get asked what is the easiest way to clean the dump valve seal on the FermZilla conical unitank and this is definitely the easiest way. Soak in PBW cleaning solution (for 5 minutes max) then use a high pressure hose to squirt around the seal and this releases any built up hops etc. See video below.
