3" PolyPhoenix G-6 Vapour Infused Gin Pot Still

This is a simple, offset Pot Still for making gin (or other spirits that would be infused with botanicals)

The offset arrangement means that any oils from the botanicals in the vapour path will not drip directly back into the boiler, as would be the case if the Gin Basket is not offset. There is also a ball valve under the basket so collected oils can be easily drawn off if required.

This can also be used as a standard pot still, or additional KL36986 Botanicals Baskets can be added if desired. It can also be run without the offset if preferred with 4 straight extensions.

The included shotgun condenser can handle up to 4kw of power. By adding a KL39031 PolyPhoenix - Modular Hammerhead / Vertical Condenser you can even run this full blast on a 6.6kw 100L BrewZilla!

Wattage Limit: 4000 watts {20°C coolant water at rate of 3.5L per minute exiting the condenser)
The colder the water, the higher the wattage rating.

The PolyPhoenix modular distillation range are primarily made out of a material called PPSU.
This material is 100% safe with hot alcohol vapour that will not leech any chemicals into your product.

PPSU is an excellent choice for components that are exposed to high temperatures (up to 200°C) and corrosive media due to its exceptional chemical resistance. As well as being extremely impact resistant.
We have decided to use this type of plastic because it also has superior thermal and mechanical properties with the added benefit of being transparent. This will allow us to injection mold intricate parts that would have been near impossible to do in stainless steel or lab-grade glass. Because this is a very unique type of plastic, it comes at a much higher cost per kg than other industrial plastics. So much so that it costs more than stainless steel.
